Whoa. I just remembered something that happened last night, in the middle of the night. I was basically just half-sleep-walking around and this sentence popped in to my head with absolute clarity: “The sleep consultant prefers to wake just once during the long night.” Then I had a glass of water before returning to the futon, and quickly passed back out, unsure what world I was in.
Also (spoilers ahead) just to clarify: does the sleep consultant sleep for, like, decades? And then forget everything? Wtf?
I assumed it was simply a busy and dangerous night that the Sleep Consultant didn't remember because of the depth and quality of sleep. Perhaps I should re-read this and try to go deeper...
