I work with teens in the educational setting. Vaping has been a huge issue. This article helps get the word out about the possible harm it can do. In my experience, the current teenage generation will respond to real life experiences relating to lung illnesses because they have seen the impact of smoking on their own parents and grandparents. We just have to get the word out and most of them will respond proactively.

I know so many people of different ages who are vaping. It’s unnerving to think that we could be introducing a new health crisis.

Agreed! I had to look up "popcorn lung" after reading this. Apparently it's called that because diacetyl was used in popcorn flavoring and workers employed at those plants had higher rates of bronchiolitis from breathing in the vapors. It's insane that anyone would use that as an ingredient in vape juice. Seems like the best policy is just to not put anything other than air in your lungs.
