Fascinating. For me, all means of communication has its place and function. I truly love a great conversation, and I prefer in person. But sometimes distance is an issue and the phone is the next best thing. However, I find FaceTime distracting. I never use texting for anything other than a quick question or confirmation of plans. Never feels intimate and can be misinterpreted too easily. Bottom line, I love and prefer eye contact.
