I am a movie nut..... I love movies, I must see this movie. I was struck by the fact that movies do change over time. I recall seeing the Birds and almost soiling my pants in fear.... I later saw it with my kids who laughed the whole way through. I was shocked at how unsophisticated and silly certain scenes now appear.
BUT.. At the time..... Pure magic.
