      Sounds promising for people who really suffer from addiction and compulsion disorders. I could really feel the distress of this woman’s story. Pure hell without this drug.

      Patients who undergo bariatric surgery sometimes experience “addiction transfer,” where their impulsive behaviors move from food to alcohol or drugs.

      I read an article last week form our public broadcaster about a woman who became an alcoholic after bariatric surgery. Apparently it happens to about 1 in 5 who gets this surgery in Norway!

      Just tangentially related to this article though. I'm generally skeptical of messing with hormones and hormone analogues, but we know humans haven't yet evolved to adapt to modern society, and probably never will, so maybe we can cheat evolution by messing with our own hormones? Long term effects will sure be interesting to see!
