This asteroid known as Don Quixote 3552 is believed to be about the same size as the impactor asteroid that killed off the dinosaurs some 66 million years ago. It is on a path to strike the earth in 2062 and would cause mass extinction. I doubt will do anything about trying to deflect it until about 2052 when the experts say climate change will have already destroyed much of the earth.
