      Interesting that the Neanderthals died out because they lacked the social skills to join together and fight off predators.

      Really fascinating. We have been learning recently how isolation can be fatal to older people who live alone. And here the scientists discover that “group cooperation” has been critical to the success of the evolution of modern humans. Most of our systems and institutions are falling apart and no longer working. Perhaps a more community based model will be in the rebuilding process.
