Our Waffle House was torn down a couple years ago to build a mall. The mall failed, but we still have an IHOP. Under Yellow the IHOP was open, but condiments were on request only. Now under Orange, all our eat-in restaurants are closed. Without IHOP and Steak n Shake, I have nowhere to go at 3:00 am.
What an interesting reply! You are up and hungry at 3am? And I also never understood what Steak and Shake was all about - it is literally the menu? Sounds like we need Coronary Bypass and Colonics!
:-) I'm not up too often at 3:00 anymore, but occasionally I do have insomnia. When I was younger (like 35 years ago) I'd be up way past midnight on weekends, cruising and street racing. Steak n Shake was the usual spot to park and watch the other cars go by. The owner/managers at Steak n Shake loved us, we bought a lot of food! Steak n Shake has burgers that are called "Steak Burgers" they're a lot more expensive than McDonald's, but they are a lot better. If you really want calories, they have a "Chili Mac Supreme" which is chili on spaghetti with onions and cheese. It's really big, really good, and shouldn't be on anyone's diet due to the huge number of calories. I forget how many calories, but when I looked it up once it was shocking. They have milkshakes as well, but I'm not really fond of them.
