Interesting article. I never considered doing my art, exercise, Readup and book groups, even my way of eating, as sources of dopamine but they definitely are incredible sources of my happiness. As are my spiritual practices. And when I look at this list, all are creative, so it makes sense.
So much great advice here! I love the ideas of consciously guiding your own feedback reward loops and designing your own dopamine diet. Couldn't help but notice that reading wasn't included in the list of consumption experiences. It certainly belongs in a different category. I feel like this guy would love Readup.
I agree Jeff, reading should have been included. Especially on Readup since it has such interesting articles and community. Being included in a comment thread is exciting. I have definitely gotten a dopamine hit from that.
I am quite literally addicted to exercise which I couldn't have imagined earlier in my life. I hope you can find your own exercise addiction as well. @sachinrekhi
