      I had originally read that we can think of Yoda years as a 10x multiple of humans. Knowing that baby Yoda is 50 and master Yoda dies at 900 they are the equivalent of 5 and 90. This makes a lot more sense to me than trying to determine the years based on human verbal development. Human babies can not defend themselves from flame throwers and 90 year old humans cannot lift an X-Wing out of a swamp without touching it.

      Also, it seems to me that certain species and races, especially those who use the force, can age drastically in response to stress. In Episode III Revenge of the Sith Emperor Palpatine visually ages hundreds of years in an instant after defending himself from Mace Windu.

      It is also discussed that different planets incur different aging effects even on humanoids i.e. the two suns on Tatooine
