Oof. It reminds me of everytime I create something whether musical or new writing... and feeling this incessant "need" to share. There really is quite the difference from the days of Van Gogh and the "starving artist".
Perhaps - there is still the equivalent of a "Van Gogh" who refuses to get on social media continually giving more behind the scenes access to the "creative process". Silently plugging away in their creative work only to share what they have created after their life.
Modern artists aren't just artists anymore. They're now influencers, marketing managers and brand designers. They have to be, to survive.
I am convinced the purest form of creation happens when done in private. Creating a delicate balance is really what is needed.
