Changing direction is just a matter of adding or removing an item from your portfolio, not making a dramatic, wrenching career change.

When we approach freelance work or really just any work in general, we should view it within a frame of a portfolio. As portfolio thinking ensures that we do not specialize in just one field, due to increasing automation and career fragility.
