      Common theories of the brain imply people have ideas in their heads that have some causative effect on how they behave. This is incorrect. You don’t “have ideas in your brain” — your brain is not a hard drive. What your brain has is a tendency to change its behavior in order to expect that things that happened before in a certain sequence will happen again.
