Heavy on causes, light on solutions. The author's contention that complexity is the biggest roadblock sounds about right but I've never lived in California so it's hard for me to really have an opinion on it.

I was going to say I couldn't imagine wanting to move to an area with these kinds of issues, but I would in a heartbeat if I needed to for a job which seems to be a big part of the problem. I get that some companies are entrenched in the bay area, but there have to be better alternatives for new tech companies.
