It’s literally the only way I know how to operate.

I'll keep telling people about Readup! I hope some of the people I've told have joined.

Thanks!!! If people get back to you with positive/negative/neutral responses, def share with me. Also - I'm sure you already know this - but don't ever hesitate to give out my email address: bill@readup.com

In addition to relying on the community to keep sharing, we have a couple tricks up our sleeve before the end of the month. (For example, I'm doin' a podcast soon!) But it won't make a difference if we can't get a few good share mechanics figured out pronto. As I tried to illustrate in the blog post, it's a leaky bucket. We're barely replacing the people we're losing. And not enough of the new ones are ramping up.

There's been a ton of progress though. So I really think that in this next month we're going to flip the switch. (But, lolol, how long have I been saying that for?!)

Best news of all is that Readup's still plenty fun to use in the meantime. I've actually been wondering if it's going to start feeling less personal if we do what we think we're going to do and then we have, like, 100 comments on the AOTD every day. I mean, that would rule. I honestly can't imagine any downside to that. The original crew will still always be the original crew.

This IS frustrating! Just yesterday I was talking about the fabulous interview between Emma Watson and Valerie Hudson with some friends. They asked me where I got my information and I told them about Readup - again! They even said, wait, this sounds familiar. So instead of relying on them to go to Readup on their own, I sent them the article from Readup. That’s my plan of action for now on. Even people I know who downloaded the app and aren’t active on Readup, I’m sending them articles I know they would love, just to remind them of what they are missing! What I think is that reading is like any habit - you need to start small and do it everyday. I remember doing more 5 minute articles and then working up to 15 and now a 45 minute article is no big deal. I also think most people also don’t take the time to realize the diversity and quality of the menu before them. This platform must not go away! I rely on it like water! Just keep doing what you are doing - trying different approaches, reaching out in any way possible. Oh, and one of my friends sent me a response from the article and said she went to the site and is excited that you are going to provide Readup on Android, which is the operating system she has. And lastly, my friends were also saying that since they are helping their children or grandchildren with homework and doing their own work on-line, that they find themselves reaching for podcasts more often since they are exhausted from reading so much. So I’m very excited to hear you are considering a podcast! I know I rely on them myself, especially when on the treadmill. Damn, it makes the time fly by!

This. As a newbie user who started out microdosing reads more in the beginning I am noticing this as a personal trend, as well. Something Here feels Golden - worth mining more in regards to introducing new Readers (when it comes to future marketing; Getting Started Recommends for Readers ;etc).
