      OMG. OUTSTANDING PIECE OF ART!

Kristen Stewart immediately made me forget her own personal actress identity in this as she slays this role. She is Wow-ing me so much in recent years. Her role as French actress Jean Seberg is another that I love (surprised in this moment to see such low acclaim scores online for that film).

A film that will understandably be an even split of polarizing love or hate. I am firmly on the love side of this effective fable. Enrapturing from start to finish.

The score is a knock-out from Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood.

The more extreme scenes of exaggerating coiled claustrophobia of an authentic woman imprisoned by rigid reptilians at formal dinners, in front of energy sucking camera flashbulbs and by curtains sown to keep out natural light as well as her own illuminating transparency are so powerful they were triggering internally. Found myself remembering to breath and sip mindfully on water in the wake of such effective anxiety with the tightening clatter chaos of the soundtrack.

I adore Sally Hawkins and her minimal role as Maggie her is a marvel - yet another winning performance among many. She is in one of my favorite two scenes of the film (which I cannot presently find on YouTube) where she has been asked by the reptilian royalty to be her handler and suggest she see a psychiatrist. Maggie is transparent about what she has been asked to do and then showing Her True Colors as a woman In Love with Princess of Wales proceeds to defy her orders by professing her love and then saying In a scene that had my Heart Leaping from My Chest: “You don’t Need a Doctor. You just Need Love ~ REAL LOVE”. OMG

Here is my other favorite scene and a song gem from my own childhood that has been joyously resurrected as a result. I Love having this song stuck in my head once again (there is a Conscious pattern of MIRACLES & CANDLES IN HEALING FLOW, PRESENTLY via Encanto/Spencer/Real Life atm):

I realize now I need to view more Larrain films than I have to date.

Contains spoiler scenes if u haven’t yet seen. A perfect example of all the magnificence in this film.
