I appreciate the direction this post is going in, but can we not focus so much on the minor grammatical inconsistencies of the fake pages and more on the fact that their content is blatantly provocative and aims to divide and incite hatred? A missing indefinite article can happen anywhere; I'm more wary of a group that posts that [x] group is invariably better than/will surpass [y] group.
Exactly! I guessed correctly on all of them but didn't even notice the grammatical errors. They are close enough, however, to illustrate just how difficult (or even impossible) it is to filter such content programatically. Individuals will have to not only be more skeptical of what they see online, but willing to question (mis)information that is engineered to align perfectly with and reinforce their world view.
"Individuals will have to not only be more skeptical of what they see online, but willing to question (mis)information that is engineered to align perfectly with and reinforce their world view."
Careful with that truth there, that's a heavy bomb to drop!
