I saw the tv documentary on AHC channel about Bass Reeves. What an amazing story about a real western hero! He arrested thousands of criminals including many notorious “gunslingers” and was never wounded even though his clothing and hat had numerous bullet holes! Reminds me of George Washington who also had numerous bullet holes through his clothing and was never wounded.
