“There are incredible people in this World that are a wrong number phone call away.”

Would the internet have increased events like this? Among all the things it does?

Took such courage for him to actually visit her. It’s awesome it just deepened their friendship. I’ve talked so intimately with people on trains and in doctor’s waiting rooms, then never see them again. There are some I’ve never forgotten.

Happened to see this comment again in my mailbox! When you mention talking to people (strangers) on trains, a few instances come to my mind as well. I’m happy when people are just open for a conversation, it’s already something.

The kind of read that inherently uplifts the day. Read this right after holding a wonderful chat outdoors with a library neighbor walking her dog whilst being followed by a neighborhood dog.

      This makes me giggle:

“My three daughters would see my phone on the counter and say, ‘Florida Lady is calling,’ ” Moffitt said. “They get a kick out of it.”

This story would make a great little indie film.

Also, this reminds me of the handsome indie film actor in NYC who developed such a bond with his elder neighbor that he took her in and cared for her when she got ill. I will see if I can locate that read from years ago as a compliment to this shimmer, shimmer, shimmer.
