bit of a wishy-washy conclusion to this piece but some of the stuff in it - in particular, the bit over how pharmaceutical companies are exploiting Pride - is rlly 10/10 stuff.
I agree with you about the lackluster conclusion, but that some of the aspects of the article are very interesting and insightful. For instance, while breast cancer awareness has garnered much support over the years for the explicit and clear cause of curing breast cancer, I now see that the Pride parade currently does not rally around one specific goal other than the vague "awareness" terminology. I also think it is interesting how companies are exploiting people's desire to support causes but take most of the money that customers try to use to support the cause for themselves.
