How do we shape individuals usage of their online tools in a way to cultivate an effective, exciting, highly individualized education?

An ideal world, educationally speaking is one in which students are able to go down a cross-disciplinary rabbit hole.. in which they generate entirely new insights.. and also discover the joys of self-educating.

I am hopeful in this terrain, but damn there is a ton of work to do.
