I love how he was driven by an appreciation for aesthetic while writing about politics.... a great artist while seemingly interweaving both of these aspects.
It also has me relieved, that he really didn’t start to get serious about writing till the age of 25. This 25th year of my life will be my year of writing!!!
And yet it is also true that one can write nothing readable unless one constantly struggles to efface one’s own personality. Good prose is like a windowpane. I cannot say with certainty which of my motives are the strongest, but I know which of them deserve to be followed.
