      A read that checks all the boxes of a deeply, deeply captivating 40 minute profile of not just one incredibly complex and dynamic artist ~ multiple. Funny, daring, provocative, authentic, persevering.

      Packed with too many outstanding quotes and highlights to even begin to choose one so I just stuck with the first that grabbed me as a reader…some of the best still lie in for discovery.

      She made a decision: “If I didn’t want to be a second-class citizen, I would have to go out into the world and fight to impose myself as an artist.”

      Beyond a 10. Irreverent, unconventional, original, shocking - a woman way ahead of her time. And there is always a cost for that. A stint in an insane asylum and horribly dysfunctional families. Art was her only salvation.
