Loved this! What memorable characters, some feeling like they walked onto the page from my own life. Loved the way the story was told, present/past/future - very imaginative. Vivid, painterly scenes - I was there, captivated by the sights, sounds and many emotions that surfaced. I may have to revisit The Goon Squad, which I had trouble initially getting engrossed in. Could have been the timing of when it was given to me. Definitely worth a try.
