      A spectacular piece of history. I’ve been processing this for a few weeks.

      How can one respect, let alone adopt, the values of a people who do not, on any level whatever, live the way they say they do, or the way they say they should?

      I think about that constantly. Values come from within, but they are shaped by our relationships and experiences. This is why when we are “good” we come together (bond) and when our values go to hell, everything everywhere falls apart.
