I had no idea this is such a serious issue.

Omg, I worked at a casino in 2009 (if I had to rank jobs from favorite to least it would have been the bottom of a long list) and just witnessing the adults alone living out of their cars and gambling away everything was super sad and painful. The fact that it is now kids...atrocious!

**not totally dogging on casinos though addiction is prevalent. We have a pretty amazing one or more here where I live now as far as I can tell that appears to treat employees well. I have just never been the gambling type. If ever I skirted an addiction it would have been sex (though my actual experience is limited and getting better/healthier/more fulfilling with age; gratefully).

Yikes. I guess this is important enough to know about. I highly recommend it.

      This stat caught my attention:

11% of 11 to 16-year-olds report that they gamble every week, compared to only 6% who smoke tobacco and 5% who take drugs.

And what held my attention was the f*in tear-jerking. Damn. Sad.

This is VERY disturbing. It’s almost to the point of saying stop! I can’t take how much I am being shown that is wrong in this world! What a year of the veil being dropped! Not only are “systems” not working but we are also facing SUCH blatant hypocrisy within governments as to be witnessing 1984’s doublespeak. I honestly don’t even know how to encapsulate all the bullshit into a coherent summary! How about fu**ing tragic!

“Gambling was the root and the trigger of his death.”

For as long as people have gambled, there have been gambling addicts.
