It's a great read just because it's hilarious. They not only dragged the film, they dragged it with every obscure, ridiculous pun & metaphor they could find. Not sure it makes me want to watch it, but it did make me laugh.
I gave this a 10 for it’s ability to make me want to run and buy a ticket! Cats, the play, has always been so controversial as to the camps who adored it to those that scratched their heads in bewilderment. It is a puzzlement that a movie with such horrific reviews gets past all the preliminaries and out to public theaters. It reminds me of the movie Waterworld, considered one of the most expensive flops of all time. I felt it was painful to watch. Kevin Costner starred and produced the movie, so sometimes it seems it’s the actor’s credibility that gets the disaster past the insanity of the obvious. Cats has a super talented cast, so perhaps that’s what helped to create the blind spot.
I've never seen the play; I have read "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" back in the '80s. Tomorrow my wife intends that we see this movie. I'll learn whether I like it or not then...

I'd never say Waterworld was a truly great movie, but I found it to be watchable entertainment.

I’m certainly interested if you care to let us know! I’ll eventually check it out when it’s available on Netflix.
After the reviews, we decided to see the Mr. Rogers movie tonight. Probably for the best.
Interesting , but I’m still not running out to see this movie. Even though I love and have 4 cats!
Hilarious.
Gotta see this
I think I'll pass on the film but I just giggled through this whole article. Thank you much!
