Really interesting article. The asteroid that hit the Yucatán peninsula is well known, but how about the New Jersey volcanoes that killed 75 percent of all species, or even worse, the End-Permian Event which killed roughly 85 percent of all species! Amazing there’s anything left on the planet!

Great read. I hate to think about what we’re doing to the oceans, and all the water on the planet, but it’s important to read about. We better clean up our act, pronto, so that this extinction event that we’re currently living through doesn’t hit us humans too hard!

I can’t believe I grew up in New Jersey and never learned about the End-Triassic Extinction!
