A lot of common sense and patience is required as we go forward with reopening. The world as we knew it is over, because even with a vaccine, there is always another deadly infection waiting its turn. In my opinion, this has all been a wake up call, a chance to evaluate how we have been living as a species. And honestly, it is not pretty. Just read/listen to the reports about how our planet has thrived since the shut down - air quality is up, noise pollution is down, animals are being seen more often in their habitats, birds are singing all day long. We need/have to change. Watching the reopening unfold on the news have been disappointing and disheartening. I guess the pendulum must swing in the extremes until we learn to balance things out. I deeply love this planet and I am willing to change my behaviors if it means we can stop the downward trajectory we have been on. There is so much to learn from this crisis, as from all the challenges we have had throughout our history. Let’s embrace these insights so we can once again embrace each other. I certainly miss that most of all.

Good information but wow we are in for a long ride. We will need to be there for each other.
