OMG, I feel like I have been beaten with a club! We MUST address this student debt issue - it’s ridiculous. And health care - the new mortgage. It’s time our government step up and get creative - this is totally unacceptable. Things HAVE to change. We need our youth!
Totally agree! And you’re right there’s definitely wonderfully inspiring stories of people making lemonade out of this situation but I do think it’s important for the hardship to be acknowledged especially because those in power are totally out of touch.
Yessssssssss!!!!!!!! It made me so disturbed I can’t stop talking about it - so that’s a GOOD thing! And we always think of the “people in power” as those with all the money but if enough of us get together and demand better, then we could be the people in power! (#MeToo) This entire pandemic feels like a possibility of a clean slate - to make something out of all this pain and suffering of those who have died and their families. To begin again, but from the heart, which is Universal Intelligence, and not the head, which tends to want to keep us in our comfort zone and perpetuate things as they were. We absolutely can’t!
I have to say, this is one of the worst, most depressing articles I have read on Readup! I almost could not finish it. What a way to start one’s day. I would love to challenge this with examples of young people rising above this and finding creative ways to make a living.I have been so impressed with businesses that used to make clothing, that now are designing PPE wear for healthcare workers. It’s a way to stay in business and also keep your workers employed. I just can’t seem to accept this bleak view! Please, readers, send in stories of people rising above this prediction!
