Interestingly, the Norwegian name for this mushroom is kreftkjuke, which translates to cancer popypore. Though I suspect that's at least as much thanks to its tumor-like appearance as its use in folk medicine.

Also, this article needs a lot more sources. No doubt anti-oxidants are healthy, but chaga's cancer-curing properties seem to be elusive for science to prove.
