More algorithms solving public sector problems will be a great thing so long as they are completely open and accessible. I do find it hard to believe that the full staff of manual routers was still required after implementing the new system. It's one thing to decrease a workforce gradually through attrition instead of instantly cutting jobs but I found it odd that they explicitly tried to justify keeping that department the same size.
