Feel like I know most of this. I’ve never said “I’m reaching for my license or registration” but good info for people. I think I might have gotten pulled over more in NJ when I had an Obama bumper sticker ... but I have gotten very few tickets in my life. Still tend to be aware of how much power police have.
I've almost always gotten out of tickets by being polite and, depending on the time, having a clean or nearly clean driving record. Sadly it hasn't always worked.

I was the opposite. Never got one despite many stops until I was over 40. Got a ticket and slowed down. A good thing.
Good info! When I was younger, I was way more defiant and arrogant - and I always got a ticket! Not so any more!
