Yes, few people reserve time for walking as a good habit. They do suggest it to others.
The author could have mentioned a lot of changes at the physical & mental level.
I'd like to read comments from you all, how you snatch time from daily routine just to walk a few steps? & how it's helping you?
I work from home at my computer all day so I'd go crazy if I didn't go for multiple walks per day. It looks like 10,000 steps is 4-5 miles so I might actually be getting close to that but I always leave my phone at home so I'm not sure. I usually do a 15 minute walk first thing in the morning and then a 40 minute walk after lunch. I'll have to bring my phone next time to see how many steps I'm racking up!
