This is a terrific idea! I wish I could tag you on this Bill! (hmmm?...didn't somebody mention that feature already. lol -Totally awesome idea Erica!) Have you read this one yet, Bill? I noticed while searching for myself, that there is a group in Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Grand Rapids,(I know you already passed these) but there is Milwaukee! and Minneapolis! too! They meet once a week, it sounded like, and there are sometimes up to 200 plus people! Imagine getting a turn to introduce Readup at one of these events and connect with other creative minds!

Seems we gravitate to the same articles! I agree. I’m looking to see what’s in our area too!

The closest one to me is 2 hours away, but since I live half in a "base camp" as I call it, aka normal house, and half in a shorty RV I might be able to attend one by staying up there overnight. Since they usually meet before people go to work in the morning.

Hey, I noticed your Fire symbol! Which I scrolled over and means "Reading Streak". Since we share the same taste :), what else have you been reading (online/offline)?

I am dedicated to Readup because of the diversity of the articles. My career has been in health, fitness, massage and energy work, so a lot of my reading has been in my field. Readup has given me the much wider scope I have needed since retiring and opening to the broader scope of life. It’s Readup and coffee every morning and then off into my adventure. My bookclub is another diverse reading experience - being exposed to many different genres.

"I am dedicated to Readup because of the diversity of the articles." I am completely adopting that line!. I also like how it's basically an online book club with commenting for busy people. I have a hard time keeping up with my book club in person since I have to find childcare too. I only see discussions (comments) from articles I was interested enough in, to throw out my two cents on.

I just wish I would see all the comments made on an article I read, not just the responses to mine. A pop up window that read "There have been 7 comments on article...since you last read it." plus keeping the notifications I get already on here. It would make it more of a contribution back and forth kind of real time conversation, than a scroll feed kind of thing. If that makes any sense.

Any recommendations for books on energy work? That would be a new topic area for my reading. My reading taste is all over the place. My non fiction favorites are memoirs, biographies, and travel.

WOW, I LOVE this idea! Just reading this made me feel good and motivated to look up what’s in my area. A community of creatives! That’s a tribe I want to be in. A community of giving, sharing and connecting - no wonder they say it’s magical!

I just saw your additional comment below your reply to me.

I was looking for a creative business group when starting my backyard homestead a few years ago and so I went to the SBA and was directed to the Roundtable. Doesn't that sound so cozy and welcoming? Sadly, it was not and they did not like me trying to introduce that idea either Chuckling. It was more like an overall here's what services we offer here at the SBA for resources. Funny thing was two other people were looking for the same thing I was and so we had started an email support group instead. Fast Forward a couple of years and I stumble across a Farm School in another county an hour away. So I am groovin' with that!
