      My heart goes out to the author and his partner. Sounds like some really dark times. It's funny how life does that sometimes - when everything's supposed to be great, but sucks; or, when everything is supposed to suck, but it's great.

      I think the takeaway here is S L O W D O W N. This couple covered a ton of road in a short amount of time. And to what end? What if instead of seeing the "entire" country (lol) they just fumbled around in a much smaller area? Also, I wonder if they fully ditched social media, or just didn't post updates from the trip... (?)

      I want more!

        I think the flip side is also not fully understanding what #vanlife entailed. I would fault the author on not knowing it’ll be tough, on not fully understanding what a depleting pile of cash and the unknown can do. To me, the author always wanted to go an adventure (and probably understood what it meant) but got distracted by the vision of Instagramers.
