Thought: Yes. I understand. There is a lot of advice out there which may be labeled as productivity porn. And I agree, Everyone should have his own schedule, his own rituals and habits. Just copying other persons productivity tips and habits won't necessarily make you productive.
I am right now in the experimentation phase where I try and copy many different elements of role models to see how they impact my productivity. In the end I'll end up with my own mindful productivity rules - which I can then stick to until the rest of my life.
Magic bullets are for superhumans. Instead of scouring the web for the one trick that will make you more productive and creative, it is worth investing in building a system that works for you.
Manage your information diet. The same way you try to be mindful of the food you eat, be mindful of the information you consume. Balance your information diet. Curate your inbox so you only receive useful or enjoyable content—not productivity porn that makes you feel miserable because of unattainable strategies.
