      Articles about writing and reading being bad things or non-therapeutic throw up major cautionary flags here… personally.

      I do agree that anything in too much consumption is in need of balance and centering; however these 2 Gifts Are Incredibly Helpful even in overdosages.
      In fact, these along with music, art Actually Can Be an individual’s therapist. Therapists come in many, many forms beyond human influencers (key word) just like Church doesn’t have to be a physical building based on legalism; can be Nature, Foodtruck cooking, etc.

      That is just the way I see it. When people start suggesting writing and books are dangerous; my brakes hit hard. Of course they are dangerous and that is wonderful.

        The point of the article is not really that reading is unhealthy. It was more a tongue-in-cheek way of me processing the events of a depressive episode. I basically recommended a long list of books for anyone to pick up if they're so inclined, while narrating the circumstances under which I read them in a slightly depersonalized way.
