Lawrence is considered a progressive town. Yet, incidents like this and a long-term city plan that will only exacerbate an affordable housing issue, makes them (us) look as snobby as any city in the US.
Yes, but I was mainly saying that because health issues are a problem with homeless shelter because of someone has a disease of some sort then they could all get infected. I just thought it was a good idea to move some people out. I didn’t like the idea of what they did but they could be saving more instead of being surrounded by sick people.
Very difficult circumstances for these people. Glad to hear they are trying to raise money. I am buying $30 tickets for a fundraiser here in Greeley for our local Pottery place. It’s called tacos and Tequila. Maybe one of your local restaurants could copy this fun fundraising night.
