      Beautifully written. I’ve always wanted to take the train from the Midwest to the west coast thru the mountains over the rivers and canyons on beautiful bridges.

      “Moving fast kept the fear and grief at bay.” But it is always waiting for you to slow down, for it is patient and has much to share. Best to talk now, while able, for dying is no time to sort this painful task.

      Awesome!

      Forced slowness is useful to me because my relationship to time is generally an adversarial one: time as something to conquer, some kind of foe to tame and break.
