I kinda just read this whole thing because I wanted to see if there would be any mention of Natalie Portman's slow-mo walk at the end of Closer. Can't believe it wasn't mentioned!
Anywho, walking rules. I'm trying to do three good walks per day, every day. I fail almost always, but it's a good benchmark.
I loved this little piece, so simple but powerful in the images it pulled from me - walking before dawn in the winter bundled in my ski wear, smelling the cold, seeing all the Christmas lights; walking through the cobblestone streets of Paris; walking the hills in Cranmoor in the fall with trees burning red, orange, yellow; walking the boardwalk in Seaside smelling the salt air, the green grey ocean crashing on the beach. Walking allows my mind to breathe, heart to fill with gratitude. I prefer to be alone on my walks, as talking pulls me from my reverie, my devotion to all that is beautiful and magnificent in the natural world.

Very ambitious of you. I’m happy when I get one walk a day.
I love the pictures, lately walking has become one of my greatest pleasures. Now I like it even more.
Walking always reminds me of Paris. 5 to 10 miles a day for 7days. The most fun I’ve ever had walking in my life!
