I once had a bumper sticker that said, “Live the life you love, love the life you live.” That was my motto and still is. When I was only 20, my boyfriend and I were riding our motorcycles home from a family reunion. We were saying goodbye and heading to California for adventure. A truck coming around a bend struck and killed my boyfriend. I held him in my arms as he exhaled his last breath. It changed my life forever. I was never going to waste a moment of my life knowing it could end in a split second. Life is so precious, such a gift. I have loved everything in my 64 years of living and continue to find purpose and meaning in service to others.
