Finally we are beginning to understand that humans aren’t the only ones using tools. I thought about Coco too. We are so used to looking at the world thru a human centric lens. Glad to see that changing.
I was talking to my wife about this on the way to dinner tonight, and Koko the gorilla came up. I just looked her up and she could use more than 1000 ASL signs and understood more than 2000 human words. She had a pet cat which she named herself. She scored between 70 and 90 on human IQ tests. People really underestimate animals.
It is wonderful to hear about the unknown intelligence of our beautiful animal kingdom!
