Wow I only saw the headline when this happened. "Tony Hsieh dies in house fire". Devastating to hear what was happening behind the scenes.

Genius is the razors edge. A tightrope between visionary and madman. This is tragic.

Devastating. I have a hard time reading about addiction, but this felt very important for me to read. The book Delivering Happiness had a big impact on me in my first year out of college as I began my career in tech. This man was, indeed, a visionary. Now it’s time to pick up where he left of and keep running, but in a slightly different direction.

Money was the problem. And, ironically, deep, real purpose was missing. The guy could have found it but he just needed to slow the f down. So so sad.

So sad. It makes me think about how much partying the mind can really take and for how long.

A tragic story, indeed. Jewel sounds like an amazing friend.

Nothing is more dangerous for a person in trouble than a dump truck horde of money.

When I read stuff like this, I'm very thankful that I wasn't born too smart. A blessing can very quickly become a curse.

I think about this constantly. Very well said.
