I found this pretty complicated. Then again, the subject is complicated.

I wasn't drawn by the title, but I got pulled in so quick! I want to read her book when it arrives.

This is beautifully written. “All I could think was that we spent the last ten years practicing how to leave each other before ever considering whether we could stay.” Romantic notions, a product of the brain from my standpoint, can really get one into trouble. Matters of the heart need to be felt. Tune into that wisdom that never lies. Ten years is a lot of time on hold. Unless it works for both parties. It doesn’t seem the case here.

      This Is Outstanding!

Who falls in love with the idea of a series of small, unfolding, unpredictable changes, with the slow process of losing, easily and almost without notice, the corners of what you believed to be the shape of your life? Instead we want the language of eternity, the assurance of soon always.
