An ode to the OG's of Detroit Techno. I love everything about this article.

It's really neat to dive back into time to understand more fundamentally the history of dance music in America... how crucial of a role the experimentation coming from the likes of the "Belleville Three" really had in shaping the genre.

The two pillars summing up the Motor City - - as the need for independence and hustle.. is further exemplified in the pride everyone has growing up in this area.

      Favorite quote in this piece:

Instead of fearing the possibility of a 1984 or Brave New World, they attempted to avoid it by creating a harmony between themselves and their machines in the only way they knew how: through music.

Okay fine, I'll make some music today. What great motivation ;)
