      Dynamite!!

This one needs to be printed out and put on the fridge, to be re-read every day, in the calm quiet of a peaceful morning and/or the mad rush of a frantic afternoon. It's ispiring and haunting at the same time. Powerful.

Remember when you sent me this poem in May 2018? You were working in New York, and I was up at school in New Hampshire, aching for you.

My favorite—if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray yourself!

The first time I read this, it resonated deeply within. It still does. I have this author’s book, What We Ache For. One of my all time favorites and remains after purging other’s from my shelves.

I'm not usually a big poetry fan but I enjoyed this one!

Being surprised about enjoying articles you think you would not like on Readup is one of my favorite aspects of this platform. Happens to me all the time. Keeps me open and curious, which I value. So glad you liked it!

        This line really struck me:

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

Ha! Awesome! Honestly, each time I tried to pick a favorite line, the next would sound equally important. Thanks so much for sharing.

The lines pasted here by SEnk Haunt me. Areas to Work on Here. The lines about still getting up to feed the children sent waterworks out of my eyes. God, I don’t know what that is like, but based on my own dark days...that is F’n Strong.

      Another gem to revisit often.
