WOW, number 6 is RIDICULOUS!!! Finding someone within a company to refer you, wining and dining them until you have some kind of relationship - which could take a pretty long time and forget about it being genuine - then asking them to refer you for a job position - INSANE in my book. A potential boss that finds that an essential ingredient on a resume is not someone I’d want to work for. Gary Burnison and Korn Ferry is an executive coaching conglomerate which always seems to smell of slick car salesmen. Yes, admittedly, I am being triggered by this!
