Definitely. A few months ago, I basically landed in the American pastoral, and it gives me a feeling like I have arrived.
Pastoral, I think, is basically being outside for a few hours every day, on your own spread, working it. Although it was interesting to read about the "World Fair pastoral,” to me jet packs and flying cars have nothing to do with pastoral anything. Growing your own food, tending to livestock, being outside, working and living off of the land - that's pastoral.
Totally understand and hope to have our own spread of land to work. I feel so fortunate that we live in a place where there’s still room to do so. Now just need to earn the dough to make it a reality.

Do it. The money part will work itself out. Country living is cheap.
