I have had the privledge to both talk and listen to trees. My favorites being Weeping Willows and Weeping Blue Atlas. One amazing transaction happened when my daughter was a senior in high school and could not find her art portfolio for college admissions. There was a time limit and it was running out. I remember going down to the beach by the river where I lived and sitting under this massive Weeping Willow that my husband planted for me early on in our relationship. I took several deep breaths, centered myself and asked this great Mother where my daughter’s portfolio was. I don’t know how long I sat there but the answer came - it was somewhere in her room. Now, she had looked extensively in her room but to no avail. But her room was an accumulation of all her passions, which were abundant. I told her of my transaction and she went back and searched again. Mother was right! It makes me laught to this day that my daughter shared this story with her art teacher. I still seek council with trees. My favorite in Florida are the Banyans.
